THE BOOKS, THEY JUST KEEP A COMIN’

You want Bruce books?  Here are three more, either recently published or soon to be available.  From France comes Olivier Demoulin’s contribution to Springsteen-centric fiction, a romance of sorts inspired by The River entitled Sur la route avec SPRINGSTEEN, published by GRRR…ART of Allainville aux Bois and so far available only in French.  In the U.S., scoring positive pre-release reviews is Marc Dolan’s Bruce Springsteen and the Promise of Rock ’N’ Roll (W.W. Norton & Company).  Typical commentary is this one from Peter Chianca of GateHouse News Service: “It may not be titillating, but if you’re even a casual admirer of Springsteen’s music you’re likely to find it both fascinating and insightful.” Scheduled for release in August, from the UK publisher Carlton, is Adam Sweeting’s latest Springsteen book entitled The Complete Bruce Springsteen: The Stories Behind Every Song.
